The Linhay
Available for Self Catering or on a Bed and Breakfast basis, The Linhay is a cosy and well furnished cottage, set in the grounds of the owners small private bed and breakfast overlooking the gardens. Located mid way between Taunton (16 miles) and Exeter (20 miles), 5 miles from the Market town of Tiverton, the accommodation comprises one or two double bedrooms, both en-suite and a good sized kitchen and lounge area. Ideal for two or three adults. Fold away single beds and travel cots are available for families with hot water on tap and oil fired central heating available throughout all year round! There are colour televisions in the bedrooms and television with freeview, dvd / cd players and digital radio.
Hidden and unspoilt, Whitnage, near Tiverton in Devon, is a quiet rural hamlet approached along traditional narrow high-banked lanes. However with main road, rail, coach and bus links only minutes away it is also a gateway into the West Country and an excellent touring base for those wishing to explore Devon and in particular the beautiful Exe River Valley, the stunning Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks and the North Devon and South Devon coastlines or visit a few of the numerous visitor attractions across Devon.
The Linhay was originally a farm building renovated by us last year and the early part of this year to provide a comfortable single story cottage. As well as the garden and local countryside there are many things for you to see and do near by and the Tiverton area in general offers a wide choice of activities for you to enjoy, including include horse riding, golf and fishing. For walkers and cyclists there are a series of footpaths and cycle routes close by and there is a good choice of pubs serving good food locally plus a village farm shop.
Centrally located for trips to Exmoor, Dartmoor, the North and South Devon Coastlines and many of the National Trust and English Heritage properties as well as trips into the neighbouring counties of Dorset, Somerset and Cornwall. An ideal spot for a holiday or short break at any time of year - 2 miles Jct 27 M5.
